Hey lovely humans! My name is Bernadette and welcome or welcome back to the Coffee & Craft Podcast.
FOs
- Fold in the Cheese Teatowel
- Yetsas Bolero (also available on ravelry digitally)
- Yarn is briggs and little regal in grey and sport (doubled) in natural white)
- Pattern is written in a very strange way. Wording about picking up stitches didnt make sense to me.
- You can figure it out with experience for the most part but beware
- Candy Corn sweater
- Reworked the collar, picked up every stitch slipped and on the back neck. Just put in a regular 2 stitch button hole. 2×2 rib for 14 total rows. Used icelandic bind off
- Inspired by knottymermaids sweater
- Douglas Cardigan by Andrea Mowry
- Was able to just use stash. Mostly fingering held double.
- Snappy Halloween Hat
- KP Wool of the andes (black, poet, peapod and solar flare) held double with a mohair.
- Last of the halloween spooky yarns from KP
- Snap Hat by TCK
- Good Vibes Blanket to Pillow
- Decided I didn’t want to keep working on the blanket, so I took what fabric I had and made it into a pillow. Nothing wrong with the pattern I was just over it.
- Took what I had and whip stitched it onto an ikea pillow (16×26) form
WIPS & Future Knitting Plan
- Persian Dreams Worsted by Jenise Hope (ravelry link)
- Also using expansion pack, 2 of each hex
- Wool of the Andes, US 5, 3.75 mm needle, magic loop then 16” circ
- starting to do 3 needle bind off on wrong side.
- calling it at 27 hexes, i have just kinda burnt out. the original pattern only calls for 25 so im good size wise.
- Spooky Sweater for my husband
- Using Craft Smart and KP Might Stitch for color work accents
- Pattern is Fall Favorites Collection (ravelry) by Megan Regan
- Multiple chart options in pattern but going with the ghost chart.
- Living in spooky iheartewee bag
I really enjoyed watching this episode. What a great idea to just call it quits on a few projects that weren’t bringing you joy and make them work as they were. I did a big cleanup of my WIPs last year and went from over 20 to now less than 5, and I really like that feeling!
